Grant to lower pollution from 4 towboat engines
The Port of Pittsburgh Commission has received a $1.15 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to install less polluting diesel engines and generators in four towboats used on Pittsburgh area rivers.

Wal-Mart Stores, a private carrier, wants to hire safe truckers for their private fleet. A few of those categories include Express Carrier of the Year, Produce Carrier of the Year, Rising Star Carrier of the Year and Innovative Carrier of the Year. Wal-Mart wants to recruit and retain truck drivers. They offer drivers $900 a week, plus a $1000 signing bonus. Drivers are home every weekend. Requirements include having a CDL Class A drivers license for 3 months, verifiable first seat experience in the last year, or 12 months experience in the last 3 years. Drivers must have experience hauling 45’ and longer flatbeds or trailers.
